Networking Groups are organizations that are set-up to help people in their job search by providing a supportive networking environment. Most are run by either a government agency or a religious organization. All of the groups listed here are open to the general public. They also all have either a web site, and/or a group within Yahoo Groups, MSN Groups, Google Groups or some other similar program. All of the groups listed here are free to join, but most have other membership requirements. Each group has its own unique focus and character. Many people find it useful to join more than one group. Many of these groups have regular meetings, so location does matter. Many also have ways for members to exchange messages and emails. This sharing of information about jobs, companies, strategies, etc. can be very powerful. If you go to the group's site you will usually find information about membership requirements and about how the group functions. If you are aware of a group that belongs on this site, please turn in a suggestion. The ads posted on this site help defray the sites maintenance and operating costs.
